Good Morning from the Garden!

Things have taken a decidedly purple turn...
Maybe because their heavy scent fills the yard and if the windows are open, the house, the lilacs are calling the shots ;) Here are peeks at a few of the many who are falling in line...
...Peonies in bud
...Tulips
...Persica
 ...Climbing Rose "Don Juan"
...Clematis alpina "Willy"
...Drumstick Allium

...See what I mean?
Thanks for taking a walk through the garden with me this morning!

Beautiful! We grow vegetables, rather than flowers - and none of them are anywhere near budding just yet.....

I love purple! Thanks for the lovely garden post. Although I don't have a garden myself I've been really enjoying seeing things bloom. It's so different where I go to college from where I grew up. Spring is a real season. Flowers can grow on trees. Kind of amazing.

(P.S. - catching up on a lot of blog posts at once - expect a few comments from me. :))

we are really far behind - my hostas are only 2-3 inches high and still tightly furled, my lilacs are just starting to bud, my bleeding hearts are barely there...
Glad I could see what to expect soon!

Beautiful! My neighbor's peonies are already blooming and smell wonderful, and we have two tiny tomatoes growing (and a ton more buds)!
